I don’t know about you but I’d run to grab it! And these are exactly on offer for the first 3000 investors in the Hash Cash ICO which began today. The minimum investment needed for ICO is as low as $100.
I normally don’t invest in ICOs as it consumes a lot of time in researching about the project which is not viable for investing a small sum. But when I heard of this project, I was very excited to become one of its first 3000 investors. So yesterday, I applied for the white list and submitted the necessary documents to complete the KYC procedure.
I didn’t have any funds for this, so I transferred some SBDs to Bittrex with the serious intention to invest. But yesterday, I couldn’t spare any time to research into this project. Today, when I tried to search about this project, I couldn’t gather many reviews. I was surprised why such a promising project is not being discussed in the crypto communities. In the past many similar projects had promised to offer a crypto-card service in association with Master / Visa card but none of them was successful in convincing and partnering with these giants. But still my excitement wasn’t calming down.
So, I joined the Telegram group and found the conversations stating that they have already tied up with Master Card and their cards are ready to be dispatched by 15th of May. So I immediately headed to my exchange to sell buy BTC from my SBDs.
After putting my bid there, I asked the CFO of the company to point me to some official Master Card website or credible media sources announcing your partnership with Master Card. In response, he posted a short demo video:

But I clearly told him that I’m looking for the proof of partnership with Master Card and not any demo. To this he said there is no partnership with Master Card. I was dumbfounded on this revelation. I told him, “One of your group admins told that you do have some partnership with Mastercard. Is it a co-branded card or you have its franchisee or something?”
He replied with a one word, “Yes.” It was a very ambiguous reply to me. I was also told that they can’t name the Asian bank they have tied up with, at this time for business secrecy reasons. I immediately went to Bittrex and cancelled my partially filled up order 😊.
But then I thought they are asking only a $100 minimum. Why not give it a try by investing just $100. So at the given time, I posted in their Telegram group that my dashboard is not showing any option to participate in the ICO. I was told to wait another half an hour. And after half an hour their website crashed and displayed a bad gateway error. I was also banned from their Telegram group.
Then someone named HashCard Help Desk contacted me. He asked me if my KYC was completed. I told him that I submitted but it’s still in process. So he processed it immediately for me.
This whole communication was very interesting to me. At the end of it I burst into a loud laughter and I couldn’t stop myself laughing for next 15 minutes. So I’d better post some of the screen shots of our conversation here:





When he said they were accepting private investment prior to this, I pointed to the small fund transfers in their wallet. So I wasn’t expecting any reply to this one. But his answer “0.1 eth belongs to the CEO” cracked me up. I laughed my arse out to this. I was laughing on myself too as what I’ve been doing all day with this company! I should have invested my time better; ICOs are not my cup of tea at the moment. Whenever I’ve tried any ICO, it has only wasted up my time.
After a few hours of break, when I was writing this experience to share it with you, I checked up the website. It was working perfectly. It has a different wallet address for sending funds than the one I was given in above conversation. For a moment I again thought, I should invest. But then I clicked their telegram link and I was still banned. That was it. I closed their website for good.
