Things are probably going to get better for us in Chiang Mai and Thailand in general pretty soon but in the meantime we still have a lot of restrictions here that make it difficult if not impossible for a lot of our members who want to be in this country to do so. In the meantime we share our images of what some of our members are doing in their home countries during the Halloween times.
Hashers never grow up, this is something that we are quite proud of. We remain perpetually young and aren't at all ashamed about the fact that we are childish. We all find that it makes life better to behave like children as often as possible.
This Hash event did not take place in Thailand, as the jackets and cold-weather hats that we almost never use in this country would indicate. I was not there, but several of the people in attendance are actually Chiang Mai H3 long-term members.
I made a gamble before this event even happened that someone was going to get dressed up as one of the soldiers from Squid Game and the Hashers did not disappoint! That's Mr. Poo dressed up as one of the soldiers. I'm not certain how it is that the convinced George W. Bush to attend dressed as Dracula.
In the coming weeks and months we will likely see a lot of these faces back here in Thailand as they are now granting pretty accessible visas to anyone who is vaccinated and they don't have to quarantine here either.
One thing that is a bit nuts to me is the fact that these photos are from the U.K. and they don't seem to have any regulations for masks and social distancing. It's kind of ironic to me that a year ago we had no such restrictions in Thailand and the U.K. had a ton of them, now here we are and the script has flipped! I guess it was going to happen no matter what!
Looks like a lot of fun and i wish I could have been a part of it. We had no Halloween event here this year due to lack of members in town. We can always keep our fingers crossed about next year!
