12 people from the radical group Polynesian Kingdom of Atooi/Hawaiian Kingdom stormed the Office of Hawaiian Affairs Office in Honolulu Hawaii and 5 people were arrested. Some of the men took control of the OHA lobby and forced employees out with threats of violence. Some of the men stated that the group was taking control of OHA assets. Dozens of police officers responded to the seen and the stand off lasted for two hours.
This is an interesting turn of events for how the radical sovereignty groups are acting in Hawaii. This is the first step towards the groups move to use violence as a tactic. The disturbing thing is that the group is willing to put innocent civilians in harms way. We hope the violence does not escalate because if it does it will set the Hawaiian Movement back decades.
