Tripler Army Medical Center located in Honolulu, Hawaii is the largest military hospital in the Asian and Pacific Rim region. According to Wikipedia, Tripler Army Medical Center was named after a legendary American Civil War medic, Brigadier General Charles Stuart Tripler, who made significant contributions to the development of military medicine. Its coral pink color makes it easy to spot on the slopes of Moanalua Ridge. The signature coral pink was chosen by Lt. General Robert C. Richardson, Jr., who commissioned the hospital. The color and design were influenced by the Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Waikiki. Tripler Army Medical Center was officially dedicated on September 10, 1948.
