The lava flow that crossed the bottom portion of Highway 132 heading towards Kapoho. A 55 mph road that now has sat empty since June 1, 2018.
A group of us neighbor folks hiking across the least wide part of the Fissure 8 flow ... although short distance, it was quite treacherous.

Yes the volcanic eruption, amazing how I missed all of the action in-person ... but of course still had to deal with the emotional impact. The time period between August 3 to Sept 26, was quite tumultuous, but now that I'm in a house .. I'm slowly picking up the pieces and pursuing what I want to do the most: be a visual artist (I'm dabbling with many different mediums!)
