Best place to see a bunch of honu's (Hawaiian word for sea turtles) is this little pond area close to Richardson's Beach Park just above Hilo Airport in the east side of Big Island.
They are nice to see as they rest and enjoyed "from a distance". Tourists and curious people just have a tendency to want to jump in and swim, but really, the honu just want to sleep/rest during the day.
