This 2022 will mark 50 years since the beginning of HBO. What began as the first television channel that offered a monthly subscription to be used, has become a pioneer in streaming and entertainment services. HBO has not only lasted half a century thanks to the attractive value proposition that allows its users to watch any content available on the platform at any time, as many times as needed and without the need to finish what you are watching (which rarely happens...).
What has made HBO unique is the freedom it has offered its creators compared to television to create content never seen before. In fact, its motto is none other than "It's Not TV. It's HBO." ("It's not TV. It's HBO."). Or as Chris Albrecht, former CEO of HBO, put it: We didn't get here by playing by the rules of the game; we got here by creating the rules of the game. This freedom is not limited to a more provocative language, but to the real competitive advantage of allowing its stars to express a different point of view. Fewer filters, more creativity, will allow you to stop looking for stars and let them looking for you.
