PALEO TESTIMONY: MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE PALEO DIET

THE BEGINNING..
My experience paleo begins one month of February of 2017 in which it falls in my hands the book "The Paleo diet".
It does not fall by chance, my neighbor and friend has been with this lifestyle for a couple of years now and decided, finally, to try ... ..but before I wanted to know what I was going to do, so I decided to borrow it.
I wanted to try because physically I did not feel well, I felt very tired, with a headache often, very tired legs ...
When I started reading, I gradually changed my diet, but it was not 100% paleo every day. Sugar and other forbidden things kept appearing in my "diet."

THE CHALLENGE..
March arrives and I decide to start the 30 days that the author proposes in his book.
Pufff that long way ... ..the first two weeks I had a really bad time, very anxious due to the lack of sugar in the way I had been taking it, since a daily soft drink always fell (it was my "relax" moment of day).
The temptation was always present and I thought that I would not reach the goal, I saw it quite difficult.
Little by little that anxiety was relaxing and I forgot the not so healthy foods, but that we like so much. I never imagined what could get "hooked" sugar ... ..

THE FIRST RESULTS ..
This was my first 30 days, in which I did not sin even once, but I must admit, that in my case, it was not easy.
After those days I started to see / notice other things I had overlooked ... such as headaches, fatigue or heaviness in the legs.
I do not want to say that I started to feel those things, if not the opposite ... when I decided to start with the "diet" I did it for health, not for losing weight, because frankly I did not think I needed it either.
What I want to say is that before I began to eat in a different way, or rather, to remove unhealthy food from my life, I often suffered from a headache.

Due to my work I spend many hours in front of the computer, and day after day, too, my head hurts when I finish. When I got home I needed to take something to calm him down and face the rest of the day with my children.
I realized that I no longer hurt daily ... .is more, I have been on the diet for 3 months and once in this time I had to resort to an ibuprofen. But it was because I could barely sleep in one night due to the discomfort of one of my children, for the rest, I do not even remember those pains anymore.

THE LEARNED..
Now I think I understand why I was suffering ... my breakfasts were scarce, null or rather unhealthy, something that later made me peck at mid-morning of anything and arrive with great anxiety at lunchtime, it was practically like thinking in eating at all hours.

My dinners were sandwiches, pizzas or something quick, that's the day I had dinner ... and when I went to sleep it was hard for me to sleep or I woke up several times on my own.
The cause of those discomforts I think is due to the lack of energy that I now have and that I am able to perfectly endure from one meal to another without problems.
As much more than before and I have lost 7 kilos with respect to my usual weight.
Although again I emphasize that the weight issue was not my goal.

LIFE STYLE PALEO ..
I also noticed frequently tired legs and the occasional cramp, that has also disappeared and that I have been feeding this way for a short time.
I also sleep much better, although not the hours that I would like, since some nights we are still awakened by one of our children.
Already started in the world paleo again I eat gluten some day and if I have noticed that I fall heavy and my abdomen swells. I do not think that now it turns out to be a celiac, but I realize that 100% do not tolerate it either.
What I suffer since 2005 is lactose intolerance, therefore, dairy products have not been a problem to remove them from my diet.
I have never liked or been in favor of them, because I have always thought that in the rest of foods there is calcium and that the milk that they sell to us, is not really milk ... but there they are.
Also add that, although you should not eat certain things, if I have had "some peccadillo", I have paid dearly ... for the inconvenience that you then suffer, so either I want to eat or try to "calm" that sin " paleotizing "some recipe.
The main thing is to feel good about yourself, whatever you do, but always believing in what you do and what will make you feel good.
