As we all know obesity is a major and growing problem in America and around the world. The associated health risks to developing heart disease, cancer and diabetes are undeniable. Many of our health issues today are a result of poor lifestyle choices. Unfortunately, the things we have been taught were more effective at increasing sales of corn and other cheap agricultural products such as wheat than making use healthy. That said we all must take responsibility for ourselves and educate ourselves on the true nature of nutrition.
Simply put, we’ve been lied to…

Here are some simple rules to get started on your journey to health: learn to cook, stop eating sugar including most carbs, eat organic, exercise, sleep nice hours every night and drink plenty of water. (Wash, rinse, repeat)
So, without further ado, here is the list:

Chili Pepper: Stop being a wimp and dig in. The capsaicin in these peppers will increase satiety and decrease caloric consumption. It also encourages fat burning.

Milk! Yes, milk. A study published in the Nutrition Journal linked the calcium and vitamin D to belly fat reduction in obese and overweight college students.

Coconut oil… yup that’s saturated fat and it helps you lose weight. Don’t tell your doctor, he’ll have a heart attack. Research shows that coconut oil doesn’t negatively impact blood lipid levels and even helps in the reduction of stomach fat.

Yum.. Avocados. These babies are delicious. I have one for breakfast every day. Healthy fats high in omega 3s and 5s provide long burning energy by regulating the amount of glucose that enters yours sells keeping you satisfied for hours. This cues fat burning and reduces inflammation.

Yes, you may be skeptical of this list. That was the point. Please do your own research and try changing your diet for a few weeks to include some of these foods replacing processes and high carb foods.

I lost 30 pounds switching to a high (healthy) fat diet. The diet was next highest in protein with minimal carbs from vegetables.
