Active Steps For Fitness!

A year ago, I picked up the Mi Band 2 by Xiaomi before initiating my training routine for trekking in the Roopkund routes of the Uttarakhand state. I didn't want to empty my pockets on a fitness band and started looking for more affordable options and that was when this one seemed like best choice and a great way to keep a check on my daily goals.

On May 31st, 2018, Xiaomi released the Mi Band 3 after the launch of the Mi Band 2 on 7 June, 2016. This band coems with an OLED screen with a button to access the needed options. The coolest part is the heart rate monitor which is pretty accurate. The band feels very smooth around the wrist and is extremely light weight making it a fantastic choice as a fitness tracker/partner, especially given considering it's price ($ 25)

I was excited to test the waterproofing on the trek since I knew it was gonna be exposed to some pretty harsh conditions and temperatures. I charge the band just the night before leaving for a 5 day trek with no network or outlets for charging. I was pretty impressed with the battery life as it nearly lasted me the entire duration along with excellent protection against low temperatures, water and snow. I have put up some screenshots from the app which includes sleep tracking, activities and comparison of activities of each day.

An overall account of my activity levels from different months, seems backpacking is the best way to use this band! :P Since I have gotten back to regular badminton I am really keen on trying out this specific tracker which I just recently saw!

I think the Mi Band 2 has been an incredible investment and I will definitely wear it more often (since laziness gets the best of us lol) in the coming time. What about you guys? Do you keep a track of your fitness levels?

Thanks!

Thanks!

You've just gotten a new activity tracker and you're ready to aim for 10,000 steps a day. But is that an appropriate goal for you? It all depends on your present fitness level and what you want to accomplish.@aishwarya

It was because I had a mild training going on for a trek and could use the device on my activities. I use it on a daily basis too keeping specific health targets in check :)

I want this band on actifit! (◕‿◕)

haha :)

Why didn't you purchase the latest Mi band 3?

I don't know, I think it had something to do with late delivery and I absolutely needed it like the next day (I was leaving for some trek so)

Yes. always. I bought MI Band 3 by shopping online in Pakistan to keep a track of my fitness level. Actually i had also the same issue to not to spend too much on fitness band so on 23rd march sale Goto.com.pk was offering it on a very low price almost 50% off and it was like a gift for me so I just purchased it. It is the best fitness band which I've experienced. As you said light weight and comfortable for MI Band 2. It is also exactly the same.

Oh I see, I read some pretty nice reviews about Mi 3 and it has some interesting features added to it! :)
