Health Tip Of The Day: [Stress + Sleep]

Stressed and can't sleep?

Heres a trick for you. Dont' fight it, embrace it. I sleep great, but every now and then I'll go to bed with something on my mind.
Instead of getting anxious or annoyed about the inability to sleep, just accept that you're going to be awake for a while and deal with the problem in your head.

I personally move from my usual side sleeping position onto my back (to break the association link between sleeping and awake - I read on my back for example). Then I simply process whats on my mind.

I do this for as long as it takes - sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes 2 hours. I know that I'm not going to sleep until I have cleared my mind.

This is a more productive and less stressful way than trying to force the body into sleep!
