New Study Suggests Methylene Blue May Treat Skin Ageing

in health •  7 years ago  (edited)

In the pursuit of anti aging medications, drugs, remedies etc, it is very important to make sure that first, there is no harm. Methylene Blue is toxic and it surprises me that it is even been considered for this sort of application. There are significantly many more "anti-aging" remedies and treatments that are actually beneficial to the body without inducing a toxic reaction. A 3 sec google search resulted in the following links: https://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=Methylene+Blue+toxicity&hl=en&as_sdt=0&as_vis=1&oi=scholart&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjYrbSgvs3UAhUDyGMKHTMtAj8QgQMIJDAA

I would suggest caution.

Everything is potentially toxic. It was NOT toxic in the doses used. Please read more carefully next time as I was not suggesting that it is 100% safe. Nothing is. Further applying something topically is not the same as giving it as an infusion or ingesting it.
