We often take our food for granted, oblivious to where it comes from. The cruelty done to animals to feed the population is truly saddening and unnecessary. We are in control of this by what we purchase and consume. We pay the environmental and personal consequences for our actions.
As someone who had an unhealthy diet, I slowly transitioned to from an omnivore to vegan in about seven years. I slowly started replacing beef with chicken and turkey, then eventually the vegetarian equivalent. I still ate fish and slowly cut that out. I then slowly started to replace dairy and eggs with vegan alternatives. I never recommend anyone make this switch overnight. But, if you is serious about this, take your time and know that each step counts towards a healthier you and less animals need to suffer for you.
Are you vegan, vegetarian, omnivore, or carnivore?
