When I was a child, access to the Internet was limited. Things have certainly changed since then, but it's not always positive. With the constant access to the Internet comes great responsibility. However, many people don't know how to properly use the Internet and are addicted. We have so much information that people even buy into all the lies they read about online. We sacrifice our privacy for the sake of convenience. This is evident with so many smart devices that are always listening to our voice, capturing our face, fingerprint, and so on. We've voluntarily given up our privacy to all these tech companies.
But the most concerning thing of all is our future generation. Children, younger and younger, are accessing the Internet. There is no reason a child should even have access to technology and the Internet, but now we have kids who have mobile phones before they are even a teenager. They have access to the Internet and games. Parents are just as bad since they do the same and don't know how to put restrictions on their child's device.
Technology is a way for us to become dependent. We rely so much now on technology that our ability to accomplish a task, and our intuition, is being suppressed. Most people these days don't even know how to utilize their own abilities and knowledge and need to look it up on their phones. With our intuition diminishing, we will become more and more dependent on technology until we lose all sense of self.

In this video, I discuss my concerns about the rise of technology and how people are always on their phones. It's near impossible to see people not on their phone. When I'm driving and see a group of people walking on the sidewalk, they're on their phone, which is dangerous. Whenever I'm in a waiting room, people are on their phone. Whenever I'm out at a restaurant or other public location, people are on their phone. When will people learn to put it away for a little bit and just be mindful? It's so sad.
When I was a child there was not internet. I think it's a good thing, but you need to know when to get off it like every other thing we love to do..Thanks for your info I found on the internet.

Thank you Robert! I'm happy you could find this helpful. 😀 We all should learn how to recognize the signs our bodies are telling us to take a break.

I'm happy I had no internet at home until I was 15. However, videogames could be used for education, and unfortunately, this potential is quite underestimated.

Very true, and I even remember as a child, even before the Internet, playing games, practically addicted to it. But, I say that video games have made a big impact on my life and have taught me many things. However, today's games are mostly shooting and killing games, thus no real puzzle solving skills needed, which doesn't help teach children.
