Ginger belongs to the plant group of rhizome (underground stem). It is commonly used as spice, it has great nutritional and medicinal value.
Ginger has the following Nutrients: calcium, iron, magnesium, Potassium, manganese, copper and vitamin B6 and small amount of calorie.

In history, ginger has been very effective in getting rid of symptoms of gastrointestinal distress. It has anti-oxidation, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory effect. Ginger stimulates circulation within the body which in turns promotes the wellbeing of the kidney and lowers cholesterol thereby preventing heart attack. It also aids digestion, cleanses the colon and reduces cramps. According to research, it has been shown that ginger can attack cancer cells and also boost the immune system.

Consumption: when considering Ginger, select fresh ginger over processed ones, because it contains all the active compounds mentioned above.
