Our body forms cells that have a period of life, they divide this means that every so often they are renewed and fulfill their cycle normally until they die. The Cancer is a disease in which the body creates abnormal cells, they do not complete their cycle, instead they divide, grow and multiply uncontrollably in any part of the body, when this happens they form masses or tumors and in their growth process they can replace normal and healthy tissues.

For many people this topic of cancer can be difficult because unfortunately they may or may have had a relative or acquaintance who suffers from this disease, or who has lost the fight against it. Many people in the world have heard about someone with cancer and this is because the index of people diagnosed with this disease has increased, many have lost the battle, many more are fighting against it and thanks to advances in science and the early detection of the disease the risk of cancer mortality has been decreasing, it is very good to know that more and more people have managed to get out of this disease.

Unlike men, women can have palpable masses that can be benign and does not necessarily mean that they can have cancer since the breast tissue is wider. On the other hand, in men, any palpable mass is suspicious and the risk of it being malignant is much higher, exactly for this reason when a man notices any anomaly in the mammary area he must immediately go to the doctor to rule out the diagnosis of breast cancer...

There is no way to prevent breast cancer; early detection is the main weapon

Sometimes the family history of breast cancer increases the risk that a man may suffer from this type of cancer, it is called a risk factor, but it does not necessarily mean that he will suffer it, other factors are exposure to radiation, presenting a disease related to high levels of estrogen in the body, such as cirrhosis (liver disease), or mutations in genes can be linked to breast cancer in men.

It should be noted that the survival of men with breast cancer is similar to the survival of women with this same cancer.

More awareness for this is a good idea.
In my old hospital we were a specialist breastcancer centre so we would have also some male patients dropping by occasionaly. What was always sucky to hear from them is that all logistics around breastcancer are formed for woman.
So the flyers would say 'Watch if anything changes in you menstruation cycle' , and those kinds of stuff.
Admission would automaticly go to a womans ward, not thinking about that it also could be a male patient.

More awareness...
