As our cities become more populated and the need for bacteria-free water is only on the rise, water chlorination is becoming more prevalent. Even in smaller cities, we're not seeing a noticeable difference in the amount of chlorination used within those water systems either.
Ever noticed how public swimming pools can overwhelm you with the smell of chlorine? I have.....It always makes my eyes burn! Again, this is because the demand for fighting bacteria has become a major public safety concern....Especially when there are large groups of people utilizing that water in some way, shape or form.
Here's the question that is on everyone's mind and a question that needs an answer... Are we paying a heavy price for fighting that bacteria? What's the trade-off? We can avoid the bacteria but we absorb high levels of chlorine in the process.

Most individuals choose to drink bottled water to avoid the chemicals within their tap water supply. But did you know that more and more studies are suggesting that even a 10-15 minute shower can cause you to absorb more chlorine via your skin than by drinking 8 glasses of that very same water.
Quite frankly, this is not the most encouraging news to me so I took matters into my own hands and bought a shower filter that filters chlorine. Maybe you should search the web for a filter that's right for you! I'm not telling you that you should do this, but I do believe that it is something that should at least be considered.

from most studies ive seen bottled water is actually worse

You make an excellent point about the dangers of bottled water. I have done tests on bottled water and found that they are , in some cases, highly acidic. Thanks for commenting!

Have you ever heard about MMS , the super all-round remedy which uses the properties of Chlorine Dioxide to heal?

I have have heard it mentioned before but can't say that I know much about it or how it works exactly. Feel free to share more if you so choose.

also did you know there is also chlorine in your salt?

edit: your post reminds me of one of posts a while back..... there is dihydrogen monoxide in your water...... it has been shown to be able to kill you easily multiple times over

You're right about the salt. I think the key with most everything is maintaining proper balance. These days, however, it seems that everything is done in excess, including chlorine. I appreciate your thoughts.

If you can afford it, a house-wide water softener and reverse-osmosis filter can be a good investment, even if just for how much less you will end up spending on soap.

Another health concern: It's well known that chlorine exposure to skin is inflammatory.

I moved from an area with a noticeably high amount of chlorine in the water to one with less and saw a significant improvement in the condition of my skin.
