  • Aloe Vera
  • Honey
  • Yogurt
  • Turmeric (optional)

You want to form a paste so that the mixture can be spread over your skin but is not too runny. You will want to use a teaspoon of Honey and Aloe Vera with two tablespoons of Yogurt and then a little bit of the Coconut Oil and Turmeric. Start with the Yogurt as a base and add some coconut oil and honey and then add aloe vera until you get the consistency you want.

BENEFITS:
These foods are packed with nutrients which will make them lifesavers for your skin, especially skin that is dry or irritated. If you want to know the science behind these ingredients which make it the ultimate mask.

Coconut Oil: If you haven’t started using coconut oil yet you are definitely missing out. It is highly known for its benefits of keeping the skin moisturized and even. It is packed with healthy fats that support our skin and is able to penetrate your skin on a deep level because of its low molecular weight.

Aloe Vera: Aloe contains an immense amount of antioxidants such as beta-carotene, vitamin C, and E that keep skin hydrated and young looking. It also contains two hormones Auxin and Gibberellins which promote skin healing and anti-inflammatory properties.

Honey: Since Honey is naturally antibacterial and full of antioxidants it is great for slowing down aging. In addition, since the texture is so moisturizing it boosts your complexion for a healthy hydrated glow.

Yogurt: Yogurt is antibacterial and antifungal and contains high amounts of zinc that help heal the skin. In addition, it contains lactic acid which smooths dry rough skin and prevents premature aging such as fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots. Lactic acid also dissolves dead skin cells that build up in the pores. Furthermore, yogurt can help even out discoloration.

Tumeric: The antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties of this plant calm the skin and help bring out a natural glow.

NOTE:
You will want to use plain yogurt instead of vanilla yogurt or other flavors because the increased sugar content in the other types can be an irritant to skin.

Turmeric can leave your skin with a yellowish tint if you do not wash your face with a face wash after. Feel free to do a double wash to get the product off or leave this out completely if you are time constrained.

If you are using a new ingredient do a patch test on your neck to make sure you are not allergic to anything.
