I am always having this itchy back problem and if you scratch it then it just gets worse and it gets more itchy. One way to solve this is to apply a very hot water compress by putting some hot water inside a plastic bag, tying it up and inserting it inside a thin cloth so that the heat would ease the itchiness when dabbed unto the skin.
It is a fantastic way to relieve an itch and I discovered that technique during the years that I was suffering from phosphorus overload in my body that it really made my body feels like some insect is crawling on it. At that time I use a rubber hot compress and some tin cloth until I thought that a food-grade plastic bag just does the same job too.
But it is just a temporary relief but better than starching where you could infect your skin. That is why I had gotten the liking of bathing as it also relieves the itch temporarily. Then after I had learned the cause I just made some dietary changes, it made some difference especially cutting back on Cola drinks because they contain phosphoric acid that also known to weaken the bones.
But maybe one cause of my itchy back was the fact that I am always lying on my bed, my skin doesn't get much circulation. Well you would say why I just don't get up. Easy to say but with a bad hip joint and a backbone that is fusing it is not as easy as it sounds to get up and walk.
But I am glad that I have a way to relieve my itchy back because it would be just a lingering torture I would suffer an itch that I can't relieve.
why don't you try Candid-B powder for itchy back.
