Dear Diary: My Dialysis Didn't Go As Planned Yet Again

If I were to choose to switch dialysis centers I would certainly do it and in fact I am thinking about it really right now because of some incompetency that I am experiencing with my relatively new nurses. The only thing that keeps me is the payment for my dialysis sessions which is I think cheaper than others centers in my province.

Today the nurse that pricked my arterio-venous vein didn't completely pricked it so that it would efficiently draw up blood to clean from my body. Now the machine got a trouble drawing blood so the other nurse just slowed down the blood pump which I did not liked which also I have learned about later.

What is worse is that I left the dialysis center a little bit heavier than I should and that happened three times already. So it just makes me breathless and makes me easy to get filled with water between dialysis. I just am suffering from medical maltreatment where the nurses here are just botching things up with their jobs.

Patients are in turn made into guinea pigs because of their incompetencies then when they get their requirements to work abroad they would then leave and we are left with newcomers that are only talkative but not good in their supposed jobs.

This is a major thing that I have to contend in my life and it gives me a mental burden. If only I get the best medical supervision that I need currently I will not be in this position where I am left in a precarious situation that makes my life harder.

My blood got cleaned nonetheless and I am grateful about it and I also enjoyed my food of fried meat with gravy and another meal of minced meat with rice. I had two meals which I plan to have another time.

It’s so frustrating when people doing their profession, getting paid for it and still not doing professional job. I can totaly relate to your frustration, unfortunately this is the world we are living in. The best doctor for you is yourself.

You know when i see ill people i wished i be a doctor instead of engineer.Get well soon :)

God almighty shall be your spiritual doctor......Doctors are only trying their best as human only God heals .....@crytopie God shall heal you in jesus name Amen

I am so sorry to hear that happened @cryptopie. It really feels awful if the procedure did not went on correctly, maybe you should transfer to NKTI, I don't know what province you are but definitely NKTI have affordable dialysis sessions. Or if you're too far I hope you can find another dialysis center who values patients.

I am very sorry for your situation and it is sad to know that some dialysis clinics do not have enough qualified personnel for these processes, this being very delicate. I hope this does not happen to you again. I will be praying for you to be well. Be strong friend. Good luck...

Great you enjoyed your food after all that, cryptopie!

You should report this so they can do something about it. Your health is very important. New or not they should do their job efficiently.

Unfortunate that you are repeatedly suffering from such issue. The authority should take action to improve the service to the patients.

friend, today you have been blessed thanks to the Science, you know, the nurses also have their weaknesses, but think that what they do is with much love and sacrifice. A fraternal hug

good post....

Some nurses behave somehow and are incompetent and glad you enjoy your food. Will always remember you in prayers.

I hope God grant you good health. Nice having you

Wish you the best!

Oh my God. I am one of your followers because I love the strength and optimism in you. I did not know that you are also a dialysis patient. (Maybe because I just followed you recently). Well, guess what, I am also a dialysis patient. Twenty three years old. I feel like we're friends already hahaha. Well, God bless and let's continue living (and surviving). Stay fab.
