Dear Diary: We Just Got Home From And At Least I Am Relieved Once Again

Today upon reaching my dialysis center and prior to getting hooked up for my dialysis I talked to my nurse if he would take as much extra water from my body. He didn't say yes though but he set the machine to take the "maximum" for me which is 3.5 kilograms of water while to other patients they are taking off 4.5 to more than 5 Kilos.

So after the session I went home with a much lighter body and a better breathing thanks to God although I know that I still have a long way until I achieve the best dry weight for my body because this extra water issue has been the big factor for my being so unwell all the time.

I just thank God that the nurse took heed for my request and I was able to get near the weight that I want to achieve because I wanted to be lower than what I weighted today post-dialysis. These things I should not be managing myself, it should be solely the work of the nurses but because my weight issues makes me feel unwell I have to just talk it out with my nurses and bargain how much water they should take off from my body.

Now at least I am happy about the results because I left home much relieved and lighter than previous sessions and now I have to be vigilant so that I would know how much water the nurses are taking out so that I won't feel much discomfort especially the day before dialysis.

I am just far from being totally relieved but at least there is a good result today where I had gotten home being able to finish my dialysis session although the nurse had set the machine to give my body some dose of sodium so now I maybe going lighter but I am thirsty which should not be the case and will certainly make me want to drink much water again which I hate because it will make me go breathless again, such is my life.
