My Renvela, my Phosphate binder is nearing to get consumed already and I must top it up or I might get my phosphorus levels get too high. I do not want that to happen since it was the cause of my Leontiasis condition that had made my appearance like this and my backbone to shrink which made my stature small and my overall appearance really looked like miserable.
Renvela is a very expensive medicine which makes me close my eyes when I am taking it but it is one of the most helpful medicine for my condition plus it doesn't (I think) affect my appetite like my Parathyroid medicine (Cinacalcet) does so I am just thankful right now that I could afford it.
It also allows me to have the liberty to eat high phosphorus foods like cheese but of course it will cost me because I have to take at least two tablets so that it would absorb phosphorus and not my guts. If only I had taken these tablets before then I wouldn't have suffered my condition today but I cannot blame anyone since I will not be able to afford it anyway.
Due to this medicine's forbidding price I am now forced to eat minimal amount of food twice a day which is okay for me since I couldn't eat much anyway due to my appetite issues. Right now since I am not eating much I am only taking one tablet per meal which is a very small meal compared to that eaten by a normal person.
It is not good for me to eat too much with my current condition because I already have too much pressure inside me due to excess fluids. So if I would eat normal amounts of food everyday that would fill me up for sure very quickly which will lead to breathlessness. So I will just be contented with all these and at least I am not getting hyperphosphatemia which is the important thing for me.
