Easing Injury Pain - This IS Worth Knowing!

Water is a Very Healthy Drink

Lovely fresh, clean, clear water is essential for a healthy life. It's recommended by doctors that we drink 8 glasses a day.

Not everyone in the world has this luxury. Here is a link to Water Aid, a charity to help bring clean water to everyone.

In geography lessons at school, I remember learning that water was the cleansing agent of nature. Now I've also learnt
that drinking water can ease injury pain.

How This Works

When you have an injury, your tissue becomes damaged. It then produces a hormone called 'histamine' and this hormone causes pain. Histamine is pumped round the body in blood.

Drinking water dilutes the histamine in your blood so the pain is reduced.

Water also lubricates joints, soft tissue round cartilage and round our spines.

I found this an interesting and useful fact. I'd say 'can't wait to try it out', except that I don't want an injury ;).
