Turmeric has been used in our kitchen for such years to prepare food. Turmeric is one of the spices used daily in the kitchen of us Indians. It is used in different ways in daily life, such as making pulses, or making vegetables, or making soup, all of which use turmeric. Turmeric enhances both the taste and color of our food. We mostly use turmeric in the form of powder. But probably many of you will not know that turmeric is very beneficial for our health. The curcumin element found inside turmeric is very beneficial for our body. Turmeric has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, anti fungal, and antiviral properties. Due to the presence of so many properties in turmeric, it increases the immunity of our body, and also protects us from many diseases.
Turmeric is hot. Turmeric quenches our Vata and Kapha. Using turmeric is beneficial to a great extent in heart disease, diabetes, liver diseases, joint pain, cough, cold, in controlling cholesterol level, in problems related to teeth, in skin related problems if it is used. If done in one quantity daily in a regular manner. The effect of turmeric is hot, so if there is a lump of turmeric, then only one inch or five grams should be consumed, and if it is in the form of powder, then one teaspoon of turmeric is enough for a person in the whole day. Make bones strong – If you consume milk then you will know that calcium is found in milk which is very good for our bones and if you grind one inch turmeric lump or half a teaspoon turmeric in that milk. After adding powdered milk, boiled it for 5 minutes and then filtering that milk and drinking it, then that milk is much better for our bones, it gives strength to our bones. If we consume this milk daily, then it makes our bones strong.
To increase the glow on the face – Turmeric is a good home remedy to increase the glow on the face. For this, make a paste of one inch turmeric lump or (you can also take half a teaspoon of turmeric powder) in that turmeric powder, two spoons of raw milk, one big spoon of gram flour and a few drops of honey, mix all these well and Then apply it on a clean face and leave it for 15-20 minutes, then wash with cold water, this has to be done once or twice a week.
Remove facial scars – There are some elements present inside turmeric which lighten the spots of our face to a great extent. To remove the scars on the face, make a paste by taking equal quantity of turmeric and black sesame, and then keep this paste on the clean face for 15-20 minutes. After 15-20 minutes clean the face with plain water. Do this once or twice a week, the scars on our face start reducing.
Reduce obesity – Due to wrong lifestyle of today, 6 out of 10 people are suffering from obesity. To overcome this serious disease like obesity, you must include turmeric water in your daily diet. Because the element curcumin found inside turmeric is very beneficial for our body. This curcumin element is easily absorbed by the body, and inhibits the fat-growing tissue inside the body. For this, put half a teaspoon of turmeric powder in a glass of water on an emptystomach in the morning, boil it for 1-2 minutes and cool it.

Relieves problems related to teeth and gums – Turmeric has antifungal properties. If there is blood coming from the gums of the teeth or if there is pain in the teeth or if there are worms in the teeth, then turmeric is very beneficial in all of them, for this, grind the lump of turmeric and make a paste, then extract its juice and apply it on the teeth. It is beneficial in diseases related to teeth. Turmeric is also used to polish teeth. For this, mixing equal amounts of turmeric powder with salt and mustard oil, and massaging it daily, increases the brightness of the teeth.
Clear complexion – Regularly consuming turmeric is very beneficial. To clean the complexion, taking half a teaspoon of turmeric powder in milk gives great benefit.
Give relief in cough and cold – With the changing of the weather, cough and cold is a common problem. To get relief from problems like cough, cold, keeping a piece of orange half inch turmeric in the mouth is very beneficial. If keeping a piece of turmeric in the mouth is not good, then turmeric decoction can also be taken. To prepare the decoction, in about a glass of water, half a teaspoon of turmeric powder, one to two black peppercorns, one to two Boil cloves, a small piece of cinnamon, a few leaves of basil all these well. When this water becomes less than half, filter it and take it two to three times a day, by doing this, within 2-3 days, there is a lot of relief in cough and cold.
Give relief in problems like Arthritis- Turmeric milk is very effective when there is joint pain or internal injury because turmeric has anti-inflammatory, antibiotic properties inside it. Which is very effective in reducing inflammation. If there is an injury at any place, then applying a paste by mixing half a teaspoon of turmeric powder in lukewarm mustard oil is very beneficial.
Relief in stomach related problems – By using turmeric in the right quantity, problems like stomach ulcers can be overcome. Because an element called curcumin is found inside turmeric, which is very beneficial for our health. Mixing half a teaspoon of turmeric powder with half a teaspoon of honey and taking it on an empty stomach in the morning is also beneficial.
Turmeric milk provides relief in liver related problems – Regular consumption of turmeric also provides relief in liver related problems. Some such elements are found inside turmeric. Which is helpful to a great extent in flushing out the toxic substances stored inside the liver. Therefore, by taking turmeric milk every night, our liver remains healthy.
