Why Medical Doctors FAIL at helping people become Healthy

It is much more complicated than that. the truth is that medical science has it's successes and it's failures. And yes we in the medical field lose sight of the "big picture". However, I would hope you are of the mind to go to the ED when you get hit by a car instead of your local chiropractor.

Yes, there are a lot of problems with traditional doctors, but nearly all of the alternative medical modalities can't cure or fix any serious illness. No amount of accupuncture is going to reverse a serious disease. No amount of homeopathy can cure a real disease process that couldn't have been cured by placebo.

I could go on and on about pseudoscience and the various scams perpetrated by people.

How is it that , based on a 2014 statistic, more than $261 million has been pledged to support cancer research, yet cancer is claiming the lives of more and more humans every year?

Is it perhaps that curing or preventing every cancer is very difficult?

yet cancer is claiming the lives of more and more humans every year

Is not true. There has been great progress in curing and preventing many cancers over the last 40 years.

Answer me this.

Which of these modalities are you supportive of?:

Homeopathy
Chiropractic
Accupuncture
Accupressure
Traditional Chinese Medicine
Detox therapy
Magnetic therapy
Reflexology
Natural Hygiene

If there are other alternative medicine modalities you support, please list them.

Let me know who I'm dealing with, please.

I really think you're beating a dead horse. I could have gone that far and gotten this worked up, but ultimately this person will just say you're 'part of the system/conspiracy.'

This nonsense is really just a cry for attention and validation motivated by low self esteem and a lack of actual curiosity.

This person isn't on a misguided path to truth, they just want to be told they're right, hallelujah/you go girl.

Don't waste your time, this person will just become less open minded and will probably resort to name calling.

I've seen this crap a million times. Over it.

Let them deal with the consequences of their self-imposed ignorance.

Yeah, I didn't read her post all the way through and later noticed that she was in to Natural Hygiene and probably a lot of other quackery too.

Still I feel like this type of thinking is such a huge danger to the desperate sick people and their families that it's hard to sit by idle. You're right though. There is probably very very little I can do to convince the true believer they are taking their ideology way too far.

Cheers
