Get In Shape SteemIt Challenge! Day 1 - Tough First Day

in health •  7 years ago  (edited)

Here are my beginning pictures. While I'm skinny and that is beneficial for my running I really would like to make functional muscle improvements. I think it would look better, but it would also be much better for my running! I know I'm starting a day early but my training week always begins on Sunday instead of Mondays! All of the functional muscles improvement would help fend off some of the nagging injuries that I have accrued over the years as well.

Day 1 Weight: 138.8

Diet

I did not do well with eating today, we had a lot of events planned with people outside of the home and not many healthy options were available. Plus, when I am out I have trouble not treating myself to lots of guilty pleasures.

Exercise

I'm still struggling with my running and can't run over 10 minutes with a lot of pain in my left knee. I'm fairly certain that I am dealing with iliotibial band syndrome. I'm actively attempting to rehab and work through the problem since my marathon is less than 5 months away now!

Drink water and water only. Look up intermittent fasting. Good luck. :)

Mmm. I know I should only be drinking water! If I don't go out which I normally don't. I only drink water at home and coffee.

Good, Fighting! Bro body building is not easy. I also start to reduce my body weight !

It is never easy, and so much of it centers on changing things that were are already in the habit of doing. Breaking habits take hard work and time!

Yes Bro, you making good job keep trying 👏

Awesome work mate! Followed to show you support along your health journey. I just made a post talking about how amazing flaxseed is. I'm glad it's a part of your diet :)

All the best mate!

I eat flaxseed pretty much every day! Normally, with a smoothie though!

In smoothies is the bomb! I made a post about my regular breakfast smoothie. Check it out I put in something called LSA (linseed flaxseed, sunflowerseeds and almonds) its full of good fats and proteins

Good job, dont forget to eat many eggs, they will take care for building up the muscles after a hard training!

I'm careful with eggs though due to the cholesterol that is in them. But they are a great source of protein!

good work

I appreciate it! Only going up from here!

So you start day 1 with cheat meal! Good choice!

Day 1 of the challenge! Haha. It isn't my first day working out though. I've been in and out recently. I finished a marathon about a month ago and it's been rough trying to get back into the swing of things.

Just keep drinking water my friend. That's so important. It flushes your system. I wish you the best of luck!
