My Wim Hof Journey Week 1 Day 2

I couldn help myself and had to jump into the ice bath one more time today. cold.jpg

Not trying to break the ice and not dropping my phone in the water, this was the best picture I could take and didnt want to use all my time to try to look good.

I stayed inside the bath for 8:12 minutes and the second round for 7:24.

Since I was alone enjoying the cold, I did my 3 rounds of breathing right before I went in and it felt much easier then yesterday.

My retentation times

round 1: 32,53 sec

round 2: 26,01 sec

round 3: 41,56 sec

I am sure I am doing something wrong with the breathing and I will keeping experimenting with it.

When I was more in the course, around last year I tend to use more short breaths and if I got a kind of rusty taste in my mouth I knew I was charging up and got the best results.

My record was around 2:30 min and I felt amazing. We shall see if I get there again but I will defently practising to top it even.

After the cold I was ready for a little sun

The hot Yoga this evening will be interesting.

Nice photos. Is that some meditation technique?

well it is not a meditation technique perse, but it gets you( or at least me ) into a very meditative state.

There is a great "Vice" docu on Wim Hof on Youtube.

I haven't been doing it consistently man, I have this neck issue that the cold makes worse, but for the muscles and mind it feels really good

@flipstar, kudos to you for giving this the old college try. I have used the breathing technique successfully in life threatening situations, calmed me down so i could respond, not react...

Thanks @flipstar. If you control the breath, you can use the adrenaline like a Noorotropic, super clear intense thought. No joke, almost feels like that movie with the brain pill, limitless.
