Our health is very important to us and we should strive to be healthy at all times. Doing things that put us at risk of not having a good health should be reduced as much as possible
I know you are presently thinking that what is the two (2) syllable word that can affect our health this much!
The answer is simple, its something that is always around you. Something you use daily without knowing how important it is.
It is something I just need you to start taking seriously; It's WATER
Now, you just said; Oh water! Yes of course, how many of us know how much water intake can positively influence our health? The answer is " very few of us"
And this is why I have decided to write this article, so we dont neglect those little things that are important to our health.
The totality of our body weight is approximately sixty percent (60%) water. Our body uses water in all its organs, and tissues. Water helps to regulate the body's temperature and also to maintain other bodily functions.
Our body looses water during respiration, perspiration and digestion so, it's important to rehydrate to replace the lost fluid; by drinking fluids and eating foods that contain water.
Usually, amount of water we need depends on a variety of factors which includes the climate where we live in, how physically active we are, and if we are being managed for a health condition that requires hydration.
How important is water to us?
Water Protects our Tissues, Spinal Cord, and Joints.
Water is very good, apart from quenching our thirst and keeping us at our optimal body's temperature; it also helps to keeps the tissues in our body hydrated. We all know how it feels when our eyes, nose, or mouth gets dry, that is a sign of dehydration.
Keeping our body hydrated is very important to prevent dehydration, and it helps to act as a lubricant for our joints.
Water Helps Your Body Remove Waste
Body waste is excreted through sweat, faeces and urine by adequate hydration. The kidneys and liver utilize water to help flush out waste, as do our digestion tracts. Water can also shield us from getting constipated, by softening our faeces and helping us move our bowels. Although, water prevents constipation, It is not a cure, so it is better to take in a lot of water so as to prevent constipation.
Water Aids in Digestion
Absorption begins from the mouth when the food mixes with the saliva, with water being the most important factor here. Digestion of food, depends on enzymes that are found in saliva, and this helps to break down food component into different supplement that is important to us. Appropriate processing makes minerals and supplements more open to the body.
Water is likewise important to enable us to process fibers that we eat. With the assistance of water, this fiber breaks up effortlessly and excretion becomes easy.
Water Prevents us From Becoming Dehydrated
Our body loses fluid when we participate in exercise, when we sweat or have diarrhoea or even during feverish conditions.
In case we loose fluids for any of these reasons, it's vital to build our water intake with the goal that we can reestablish our body's hydration levels. In situations like renal tract infections, kidney stones, dehydration and even in sickle cell diseased individuals rehydration is of utmost importance.
In case you're pregnant or nursing, you will need to take water liberally because you will utilize more fluid than expected, particularly during breastfeeding.
How Much Water Do we Need?
There's no rigid rule about the amount of water we should take. Just try to drink water when thirsty and always stay hydrated.
A lot of persons will eventually remain hydrated just by drinking adequate water.
You can know your level of hydration, by observing your urine colour; If hydration is adequate your urine colour will be clear.
Always keep in mind to stay hydrated at all times.

Being a steemian is great, I am so happy to be a part of this great platform. Combining steemit and work presently, is a great thing for me, because I can now strive to make some extra income to assist me in helping those patients in need, so they Dont loose their lifes because they couldn't afford the health system.
In the nearest future, I hope to be able to build up a charity foundation (which i have started in my own little way) and create awareness on the poor utility of health services in this environment all due to financial constraint.
