Living in a natural world means that we all rely on our bodies to survive. Your body is your home, and it protects you and helps you learn. Your body also lets you express yourself and have fun. treating your body well helps it do these things. Self-awareness is an awareness of your body; it's knowing and understanding how your body works. Understanding your body makes living in the natural world safer, healthier and more satisfying.
The body is the main component of the human system. It's made up of organs and systems that work together to keep you alive. Your body keeps you warm, cools down your body temperature, assists in breathing and digestion and keeps your brain cells alive. It's also the main component of the mind since it controls the functioning of the mind. Your body is an extension of your consciousness since it keeps you alive while allowing you to think and act freely. Your body guards and protects your life; it's also a home to your consciousness since it allows you to think and act freely.
Your body needs regular care and attention. It needs food, water, exercise, rest and a good environment to stay healthy. Healthy bodies help people learn and socialize. People also use their bodies for work-related tasks such as farming and hunting. Your body is a natural habitat that needs to be taken care of when necessary. Failing to treat your body well leads to complacency, laziness and poor health outcomes. Allowing bad behavior leads to poor health outcomes; self-awareness keeps you from mistreating your body.
We all learn about our bodies through birth, education, play, work and other activities. Birth teaches us about our bodies by giving us physical form and mental capabilities. Our schools teach us new concepts every day- essentially extending our lifetime of natural habitat learning experiences. We also learn through play when we use our bodies freely without worrying about consequences. This is similar to letting animals run wild in their natural habitats without worrying about consequences either. Work teaches us new concepts through interactions with other humans and computers; this extends our natural habitat for human interaction with computers either. Finally, spending time alone allows us all to spend time with our own bodies without worrying about consequences.
Self-awareness helps you avoid negative behaviors such as ignoring basic needs or mistreating your body. Doing so leads to poor health outcomes such as obesity or stress-related disorders such as hypertension (high blood pressure). Being aware of your behavior helps you socialize effectively with other humans and animals alike. This way, everyone benefits from having good mental attitudes towards each other. Knowing yourself is important when writing songs or poems, expressing ideas or performing tasks such as martial arts or weightlifting for exercise purposes.
Keeping your body healthy is essential for safe living in the natural world.
