Wim Hof, also known as The Iceman, is a Dutch extreme athlete noted for his ability to withstand extreme cold. In 2007 he climbed to 7200m/23600 feet altitude at Mount Everest wearing nothing but shorts and shoes.

Preparation

The perfect condition would be on ** an empty stomach** and clean bowels. That way, you give enough time for digestion so that when you get up in the morning, the body will naturally purge. If you eat late at night and get up early, the digestion will not be complete.

Minimum requirements
Before the meal or two hours after the meal.

In traditional Indian medicine, whether it is Ayurveda or Siddha, whatever health problem you have, first they will purge your colon. If you want to be healthy, it is essential that your colon is clean.

The practice of Wim Hof method

Breathing (around 30 times)
With focusing breathing, you energize every cell in the body with oxygen. Full inhalation through nose and exhalation through the mouth. Short but powerful bursts.
Purpose of exercise is CO2 reduction.

Posture
Sit in cross-legged posture (whatever is the most comfortable for you).
Spine comfortably erect. So your lungs can expand freely without any contractions. For starting you can use backrest, but no headrest.
Keep your hands upon your tights, with your palms facing upwards.
Your face slightly upturned, eyes closed, keep a mild focus between your eyebrows.

After the last exhalation hold breath until you experience the gasp reflex. Without force

And now finally the cold part.
Turn on the bit of a colder shower than your body temperature, and progress towards colder.
The key is to mentally close your vascular system. If you are choking and breathing abnormally, that meany that you have not closed the vascular system properly... Do not worry you will get better from practice to practice.
After you start you will not sustain the cold for a long time. but when you are consistently doing it your body adapt. Progress elevate and endure for a longer cold. Go through your discomfort with mental focus and sustain the cold.
