Fat

A pioneering study conducted at the Duke University in North Carolina sowed that even very small amounts of household dust contain endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) that can intefere with the body’s hormones and lead to weight gain.

Scientist

Scientists applied the dust particles to mouse cells and found that amounts as small as 3 micrograms caused measurable effects. Despite the dangers of the EDCs, these synthetic or natural compounds are ubiquitous. One way to avoid them would be to try to keep our homes as clean as possible.

Important to keep in mind that one study in no way proves causation

You're right, but it was mentioned in the report that this relationship was already suspected based on previous studies and now it was confirmed by the new study.

I'm going to dust my house right now.
