Two weeks ago, my orthodontist removed one of my wisdom teeth for my braces and now she wants to get rid of 2 of my premolar teeth from the top to correct my buck teeth(protruding teeth). I am so worried that having the extraction might mess with my jawline. I have heard stories of people being unhappy once they removed their braces and how their smile and face shape was altered. I went to different ortho and he also recommend extraction for my overjet and mild crowding.
I asked my ortho if she can just remove two of my wisdom teeth from my upper instead of my first premolars since those are very healthy, she told me the space created by removing wisdom teeth is too far back to help reduce protrusion and she can’t easily pull the front teeth back into those spaces. So she really have to remove teeth that are closer to the front to make any difference and to fix my problem(buck teeth).

Has anyone on here had teeth extracted for braces? It will be the ones behind our top canines.
