5 Signs You're Making Yourself Sick

There are many signs of anxiety, but we don't all know how to identify them. Symptoms can be very elusive and have the ability to mimic symptoms of more severe health issues. I will identify the most common signs of anxiety and what we can do to mitigate the effects they have on us.

Common symptoms include:

  • headache;
  • chest pain;
  • heartburn;
  • abdominal pain.

Most people with these signs convince themselves that they have a more serious health problem. Worry can pretty much take a real toll on your body and can put you through a real roller coaster of emotions and physical symptoms.

Now you may be asking yourself, if anxiety can mimic more serious health conditions, you have nothing to worry about. Well that is not exactly accurate. You see, mind over matter really does exist. Not only is anxiety a real problem, but it can program you into manifesting what you are actually worrying about.

Below are the most common signs of anxiety, which you should take seriously as they can one day manifest into something more deleterious if left to unravel out of control.

Headache:
Commonly known as a tension headache. Anxiety and excessive worry (mental stress), cause your neck muscles to contract which creates a domino effect. This eventually leads to tense facial, scalp and occipital muscles, leading to a tension headache.

Chest pain:
Typically, anxiety-induced chest pain (panic attacks), are more common with 26-45 year old males and females. This pain is described much like a heart attack, with pressure, shortness of breath and dizziness. Most of the time, hospitals will not find any abnormalities with tests.

Shortness of breath

Heartburn:
Due to chronic stress. The cause is an increase in stomach acid secretion, which over time weakens your stomach lining and increases your sensitivity to pain.

Insomnia

So if you find you are always worried and stressed, don't brush it off.
