- Be competitive with yourself and nobody else.
This means that you do not fall into the rat race and habit of comparing yourself with those around you simply to keep up with the Jones'. The only person you should be competing against is you and always striving to better yourself without using others as a benchmark.
- Remove all that is toxic to you (that means people and things that affect your environment).
There is an old adage that states, "You are who you surround yourself with." Toxicity, whether it be people or your environment are what we refer to as energy vampires. These are the things that step in your way and make life harder than it is. Don't wait for spring to do a cleaning, this should be a daily task.
- Commit to growing as a person.
Your mind is your most powerful asset or nemesis - it's all about mindset. What you think is what you are. You need to control your thoughts and beliefs.
- Stop trying to control everything.
A lot of our downfalls and stress come from the fact that we want to control the uncontrollable. Well I got news for you, you can't. The only thing you have control over is your perception and your response to any situation. Life will happen and without your permission, it is up to you how you react to it.
Cheers

Nicely written. I always enjoy reading articles on how to be happier, better, more fulfilled, etc. I especially love the part "don't wait for Spring to do the cleaning, this should be a daily task". That will fit so well with so many aspects of a person's life.
