Fitness and nutrition in a nutshell Ep 1

in health •  7 years ago  (edited)

Life today can be a very busy and rushed daily experience for many, with not much time for relaxation or leading a balanced lifestyle. Which is why I want to encourage those who dare to say (or feel like saying) "enough, I only have one life and want to make the most of it", to help them live out their days healthily.

So before we get started and delve into the nitty-gritty, there are some basics we need to know, such as: people are different (stating the obvious duh). But genetically speaking this can be a major factor as some people's bodies work at a different state to others. Some may have a faster metabolism or be more sensitive to caffeine, or sugars for example.

Which leads me to the next related topic, anatomically speaking we are also different, some may have longer legs, and a short torso, and long arms (depending on this, your form may differ by a certain degree for exercises from the text book form). An example of this would be a person with long legs may have difficulty bending over forward and touching the ground (or performing a deadlift/exercise to pick something up off the ground in front of them). Its not really a one-size fits all situation in both training or nutrition.

So if you get joint pain from doing an exercise a certain way, after researching proper form and it doesnt suit you 100%, then fiddle around with the positioning somewhat or ask for advice from a trained professional, same with dieting (this is a word that's useage has become linked with only eating a certain way) if you're a carb sensative person meaning your body cant utilize it easily and it stores it as fat too readily, then perhaps try getting most of your energy from fats (healthy ones such as fish oils, avo, nuts, seeds etc), as your body may respond better to burning fats more efficiently, allowing you to store less energy as fat, and in turn, burn more fat.

Its about finding what works for you! Also be aware that progress takes time, same like learning a new hobby, working toward your goals requires consistency and planning, so don't give up if you switch to a new diet and dont lose 1kg in the first few days or don't see massive gains in the gym by doing certain exercises. We are in the process of building ourselves to be better, and this is done over time, and with hard work.

Thats all from me for now guys, stay tuned till next time warriors! pexels-photo-414012.jpeg
