Valuable information, thanks for sharing.
I would like to add following information about Vitamin D:
- Vitamin D exists under 2 forms: Vit D2 (plant origin) and Vit D3 (animal origin)
The D3 is much closer to the type of vitamin D that our skin produces when exposed to the sun. The D3 form is much more efficient than the D2, and has a much longer active lifetime in our body.If you take supplements, always choose the D3 type. - The D3 vitamin produced by the skin must be "activated" by our liver for becoming bio.active in our body.
- Vitamin D3 facilitates the absorption of calcium in the blood; but calcium should not remain in the blood, where it could cause calcifications in the arteries. Calcium should reach its destination: in our bones, hair, teeth, nails... For this, vitamin K2 (type MK-7) must be taken: a tablet of 200 microgram/day to be taken together with the 8000UI tablet of vit D3. If you take high doses of vitamin D3 without taking vitamin K2, calcium can build up and calcify inside the arteries! Therefore, always take vit D3 together with vit K2.
