Week number 8 of the Weekly Steemit Health Challenge! Every single week you'll be able to enter the Weekly Steemit Health Challenge to a chance to win Steem. There's 45 Steem up for grabs so make sure you get involved!

Let me tell you about the specifics...

1. There will be a different challenge each week, posted on a Monday. These will rotate each week and will include, recipes, exercise, stress relief and walks/runs.

2. All entries need to be submitted to the comment section of Monday's post, by 8am on Sunday of that week.

3. You must use THIS banner at the end or beginning of your post.

4. The winners will be chosen each week by a panel of judges, including myself and the challenge's sponsor @sweetsssj.

5. First place each week will win 30 Steem, second place will win ten Steem and third place will win five Steem.

The Challenge This Week!

Every single week we're going to be doing a new challenge. But obviously there's only so many challenges that allow everyone to join in - so we're going to stick to the five challenges that we used in the Six Week Health Challenge.

This week I want you to:

Show us how you de-stress

Remember, your mental health is as important as your physical health, and I believe that both are linked. When your body is healthy, your mind has a better chance of being healthy, and when your mind is healthy you're more likely to be motivated to make time for exercise and eating well. We all know that if you are upset or stressed it can lead to comfort eating - so this week I want you to make a post about how you de-stress.

This could be with a sport or other physical activity, it could be painting or crafts, it could be with meditation or yoga - it could be anything! But show us how you de-stress, tell us why you find it helps you, and teach us how we can get involved too if we want to try it ourselves to de-stress. Hey everyone! My name is Sky and the way I de-stress is through something called sound healing. It's a relatively new mindfulness practice, but it is super powerful. Here's a video I made all about it!


In this video, I explore the topic of sound healing and sound baths and share my personal experience with sound healing. I discuss what sound healing is and some of the research and science behind it.

Sound healing is something I've wanted to make a video about so more people can learn about it and try it out for themselves. There is something about the vibrational quality of a sound bath that works on your mind and body in a different way.

Where meditation can be really difficult for me to sit down and get myself to do, sound healing allows me to drop into a deeply relaxed, meditative state without having to do much work. I simply lie there and the music takes over. Sound baths allow you to feel the vibration of the sound in your body. It's as if your whole body is soaking in the healing vibration of the music.

Good morning! Below is a link to my post about hiking which is my way of de-stressing. I need to be out in nature, hear the birds and smell the flowers. Getting out and away from everyone and everything where you can hear your own thoughts and sort stuff out. Thanks!

I think this is a very useful and good challenge. Because there are some advantages to the challenge you give, that is, we get a reward, our body becomes healthy and we gain knowledge from the challengers.
