Dental treatment at public health

in health •  7 years ago

Today, a woman came with a chief complaint wanting to extract her molar tooth. After the dental examination, her tooth was no longer in pain (pulp necrosis).

I have explained that this tooth can still be preserved by doing the root canal treatment, so we don’t need to pull it out. But the woman insisted on tooth extraction treatment.

As a dentist, I have to educate her and I did. But the decision of the available treatments remains in the hands of patient.

I work in a remote public health service center where the public are lack of knowledge about oral health.

Hopefully I can continue to provide dental and oral health information or good health services to the public. Whether it's a preventative or curative treatment.
