Most of the problems with quitting smoking are associated with the human psyche. Been off and on with quitting for a long time myself, problem mostly is I still hang around a lot of friends who smoke like chimneys, and not that I enjoy the smell of cigarettes, but it makes me want one.
I dont think I substitute smoking for drinking, though when i do drink, I usually want to smoke as well, which also becomes problematic. Im glad you were able to quit so long ago!
