The water and food we consume contains various ions.
The ions are necessary for our organism :

The obligo-elements, in very weak quantities in the human body, correspond to the ions of copper, cobalt, copper, fluoride, iron, iodine, calcium. Their role is essential to maintain the balance of health.

The chloride ion participates in maintaining glucose metabolism. Cobalt ion is a component of vitamin B12.

The copper ion participates in the functioning of many enzymes.

The effects of the fluorine ion on the teeth and the is are known.

The iodide ion relates to the normal functioning of the thyroid gland.

Particular attention will be paid to:

Excessive consumption of sodium ions that could cause hypertention.

An excess in potassium ion that caused kidney problems.

A too high consumption of fluorine ions which would make disappearance of its beneficial effect.

On the other hand, an insufficiency of iron ions would cause anemia.

An acute deficiency in calcium ions would result in rachtism in children and softening of bones in adults.
