But you don't understand my circumstances or what I went through?
It's not the circumstances that stress us out, it's the way we think about our circumstances that stress us out. Life will always throw us unpleasant circumstances, so it is your choice of how you want to think about these circumstances and what attitude will you choose to go through those circumstances. You can have good attitude and trust and believe in the possitive things or you can complain, worry, stress, be angry which is so useless and it drains your energy and takes a toll on your health and life, since you can't run away from all that is going on in the world and your circumstances that will always be there.
Wrong thoughts which are negative thoughts only bring us stress from worry, tension, increased heart rate, depression, sleep deprivations, unhealthy immune, gut problems which is the number 1 cause for all sicknesses and diseases.
It is just useless to worry about things that you cannot do anything about and by being angry at a something or someone will just steal your energy. Don't let anyone or anything steal your energy. STOP TORMENTING YOURSELF.

How much time have you wasted hating or being angry at somebody? Does this ever solve anything or make things better? What are your results? Are you happy with those results?
If it's not working, stop doing it. Why do we continue to so the same things and want different results?
DOING THE SAME THINGS, WILL NOT GIVE YOU DIFFERENT RESULTS
Critical thoughts about others drain our energy. Jealousy, suspicion, hateful thoughts, bitterness, resentfulness. If you want positive thinking you need to change.
You can do all things right, but if on the inside you are bitter and jealous and hateful, you will always feel bad and lousy.
We all know how to worry. Has worrying ever solved or made your problems or difficulty disappear or go away? What is the DEFINITION OF WORRY?
It means to give way to anxiety and unease and allow your mind to dwell on difficulty or troubles.
Why can't we concentrate and learn how to be happy and think positive instead of the negative which takes the same energy to do, but with totally opposite results?
I'm not saying its easy and you can just switch your thinking overnight, but start to train your mind to look for the good and positive things out of every situation or every person, instead of the negative.
Now that we have stopped speaking out loud all the negative things, we have to start saying positive affirmations, even if you don't really feel it. You don't have to feel what you are saying, as long as you teach yourself by practicing and only saying positive things out loud, you will be surprised how fast your mind and feelings will change. Think about it. If you are driving and someone cuts you off, and you are just about to give him the finger and all these bad thoughts and words are coming, swallow it, and don't speak it out loud even though you feel it like it, but instead wave and say something positive, like nice car, or have a nice day. Now, I didn't say it's going to be easy, but if you want to grow and learn that is the only way, CHANGE. After doing this few good times, eventually that become normal and you will find yourself more and more relaxed in these situations.

Don't be disappointed if things don't work out the way you wanted them to. Everything happens for a reason and at the right timing, and as long as you know you have done everything you can or know how and with good attitude, you can relax because getting mad or frustrated or worried and stressed will not solve anything, so just let it go and get up the next day and do all your best all over again.
There are other factors that can help us in positive thinking and that is by feeling good and healthy and energized and here they are:
Make better choices of what you eat and the fuel you give your body.
Drink plenty of water, take care of your health.
Regular bed time
Try not to keep all the people happy all the time
Do not compare yourself to others
Stop trying to run other peoples lives, and run your life
Have peace, joy and happiness and laugh a lot since laughter is the best medicine
Be honest with yourself and take responsibiliteies for your actions and don't blame anyone
Take time to do something you enjoy. You cannot overwork yourself because after this project there will be another project and another project.
Surround yourself with positive people

I have no time or energy to waste hating or being angry because that will not change anything except make my life miserable and make by body sick. So make up your mind that you will not waste your energy on hating, or worry or anger, but instead look for the good and the positive in every situation and that starts by being grateful for what you do have.
You don't have to feel it, what you are saying, but as long as you are positive and looking for the positive things in that someone or yourself and keep on speaking them out loud, eventually your mind will get used to that and sooner or later these are the thoughts that will come to you naturally.

My biggest and most important things that have helped me in my life and how to deal with my wrong thoughts and everything in my life is my trust and my hope in God. The word of God has helped me in a greater way than anything else could. This is what gives me strength, peace and hope.
I try to do everything I can do myself and the rest that I can't do, I leave it to God and that way I can stay peaceful and not worry because I can't do anything else about it and if we could do everything by ourselves, there would be no need for God. I put all my trust and hope in God in my every day life.

It's a great idea to try to train your mind to think positively. I do think, though, that figuring why you're angry/anxious is important instead of supressing all negative thoughts. I like to say that you should see your thought as "just thoughts" that will leave again and that don't define you. But nonetheless they tell you something about yourself. So I agree with you that getting angry or hateful drains your energy, but it's important to consciously notice the thoughts in order to be able to let go of them. :)
