But due to pressure from other countries, our prime minister of that time banned it in India. but people use hemp plants to make drinks that is taken as Prasad (a devotional offering made to a god, typically consisting of food that is later shared among devotees.) on the occasion of Holi. Yes, it is used in medicines without people knowing. But, it should be legalised again as it is not more dangerous than alcohol.
