The 5 most common mistakes when using a condom

in health •  7 years ago  (edited)

Did you know that a large part of the population makes mistakes when using a condom ? The lack of education in this area means that there are some shortcomings that can ultimately mark the lives of those who use it.

Know the most frequent mistakes when it comes to using a condom.

1- Incorrect size
Maybe buying extra-large condoms is a way to feed one's or your partner's vanity , but unless it's the right size, we're
actually doing ourselves a disservice.

Just like when we bought too wide pants and when we start to fall , the same happens with these condoms. The friction
ends up making them "get out" or get completely lost . Just as if it is a too small size , it will end up breaking , due to the
same friction.
Latex condoms should be perfectly adequate to protect the way they are intended. Neither too narrow, nor too wide,
especially if we seek to avoid surprises.

2- Save the condom in the wallet: Never again!
If there is something that we carry everywhere, it is the wallet , that's why it seems logical to take condoms for "emergency" occasions in it. However, these condoms are sensitive to heat , friction and pressure , which means that if you spend a month in your wallet -which one usually carries in a trouser pocket-, lose reliability .
Condoms should be stored in dry, temperate places.

In addition, with respect to this custom, it is common that, if we are not in a stable relationship and we are not an
authentic Casanovas, they are kept for a time, perhaps becoming too much. We should never use an expired condom .
The first thing to do to check whether it is or not is to look at the expiration date. Although it is not over time, we must
check that when opening it, keep the texture that corresponds to it. In case it is dry or too sticky, do not hesitate to
throw it away !

3- I can not open it, I'll try my teeth ... NO!
It does not matter what haste you have or how sexy you want to look: using your teeth or any sharp object is a bad idea .
Generally, condoms are packaged with an easy-to-open cover. Before using your teeth, try using your hands (ideally without long, sharp nails).

4- Too late
The later we put the condom, the more chances there is that there is an exchange of unwanted fluids . Some studies say that between 17% and 50% of people wait until the very last moment to use the condom after starting to " relate ." This increases the chances of STD infection and pregnancy. You have to use the condom before you start, not in the meantime.
It is also a problem to remove it after too much time, since it can "get out". So, you have to use it and remove it at the right times, not too late.

5- IMPORTANT: I thought to reuse it ... Never!
This is one of the worst customs that, apparently, between 1.4% and 3.3% of people perform. It is not a good idea, not only for the anti-hygienic , but also because the effectiveness of the condom is lost . The correct thing is to use it once and no more.

Woff, woff!

Hello @kelly92, Nice to meet you!

I'm a guide dog living in KR community. I can see that you want to contribute to KR community and communicate with other Korean Steemians. I really appreciate it and I'd be more than happy to help.

KR tag is used mainly by Koreans, but we give warm welcome to anyone who wish to use it. I'm here to give you some advice so that your post can be viewed by many more Koreans. I'm a guide dog after all and that's what I do!

Tips:

  • If you're not comfortable to write in Korean, I highly recommend you write your post in English rather than using Google Translate.
Unfortunately, Google Translate is terrible at translating English into Korean. You may think you wrote in perfect Korean, but what KR Steemians read is gibberish. Sorry, even Koreans can't understand your post written in Google-Translated Korean.
  • So, here's what might happen afterward. Your Google-Translated post might be mistaken as a spam so that whales could downvote your post. Yikes! I hope that wouldn't happen to you.
  • If your post is not relevant to Korea, not even vaguely, but you still use KR tag, Whales could think it as a spam and downvote your post. Double yikes!
  • If your post is somebody else's work(that is, plagiarism), then you'll definitely get downvotes.
  • If you keep abusing tags, you may be considered as a spammer. It may result to put you into the blacklist. Oops!

I sincerely hope that you enjoy Steemit without getting downvotes. Because Steemit is a wonderful place. See? Korean Steemians are kind enough to raise a guide dog(that's me) to help you!

Woff, woff! 🐶
