Thank you @kennyn for this wonderful informative article about urinary stones. These stones are very painful my dear ! If anyone wants proof let them visit a hospital where people with urinary stones are being treated. I for one had an uncle who suffered from urinary stones and I do not wish to have them. That is why I endeavor to find out as much information as possible about their causes.
So if too much calcium and vitamin C causes urinary stones and kidney stones, will too much consumption of fruit juices such as orange juice be harmful since fruits contain vitamin C ?
You also noted that vitamin C has an intermediate metabolite(oxalic acid) which causes calcium oxalate stones. Does it mean that not all vitamin C metabolite is used by the body? And is it is in excess doesn't the body have an alternative way of storing it?
