Many times you will see the body naturally respond by placing the palms on the eyes, or a reflexive instinct to rub or press the eyes with hands or fingers.
There is another simple recipe to release the pressure on the lesser occipital nerve that will aid or remedy this aggravating issue.
Place firm pressure on the points of the neck called GB-20... press straight toward the back of the eye until you can feel the pressure there, then quickly release and allow the eye and neck to relax before applying again. If this relieves the pressure, strain or pain in one time, do not repeat, but if more applications are necessary, add as needed. Just allow ample time for the eye and neck to relax fully.
