Be sensitive to new seasons of change and use it as a time for reflection, resolutions, and turning over a new leaf.

At Wellness with Laurent I want to encourage rest and recovery through self care to restore balance and harmony for the inner and outer self.

WHAT'S ONE THING YOU CAN DO FOR YOURSELF THIS WEEK IN EACH OF THE FOUR AREAS?

SELF CARE TIPS:

Hot Towel Scrub: Scrub until the skin becomes slightly pink or until each part becomes warm. 2-20min depending how much time you have.

Benefits:

Reduces muscle tension
Re-energizes in the morning and deeply relaxes at night
Opens the pores to release stored toxins • Softens deposits of hard fat below the skin and prepares them for discharge
Allows excess fat, mucus, cellulite, and toxins to actively detox rather than to accumulate around deeper vital organs
Relieves stress through meditative action
Creates a profound and loving relationship with the body, especially parts not often shown care, and particularly for a person with body image problems.

Quiet Time/Reflection: Touch base with yourself for minute and see how you are feeling. I like to take 10min out of each day to reflect on outcomes, decisions and the person I am becoming.
A time of reflecting and while walking or in sitting in a spot you enjoy is a great way to tune in.

Clarity of inner voice
Recharge energy levels
Reduces Stress

Get out of your comfort zone: Feel alive and do something that scares you.

Create new possibilities
Increase self belief and confidence

Self Affirmations/Compliments: Take time to celebrate the small things and practice positive self talk. I find this most helpful first thing in the morning and right before bed to end my day strong or begin my day in a deliberate mindset that I choose.

Benefits:
Giving your power back to you which enables you to create your reality.
Helps control emotions
Sense of grounding
Self understanding

Sounds basic, but how much time do we actually spend taking care of us.?
Prioritise this and you be shocked at how much energy and love you have to give and how you are able take control of situations rather than them control you.

YOU ARE NO #1 - EVERYTHING ELSE FOLLOWS

What works for you?
There are many ways to take time out. Enjoy exploring new ways on switching off to tune in and take your life back into your hands

Rate each area on a scale of 1-10 and pick one area to work on. It might be physical activity and you decided to add a 20min walk into your day 3 times a week. Maybe it's cooking twice a week? Or perhaps simply enjoying your own time doing something you love....
