The decline is continuing. This is probably not the end of the season if the past is any indication, but at least for now we are getting some respite from the flu in most regions.
The flu season has been severe so far. We are already at an estimated 270k flu hospitalizations and 17k flu deaths. Those are a bit more than half of what a typical flu season is like. This season started early, but historically flu season generally lasts to April/May, so we could see a second wave of flu in the coming months.
The flu vaccine is a good match this season, so make sure you get vaccinated. It will reduce your risk of severe flu. It isn't too late to get the vaccine.
