Been struggling with losing body fat all year. Yes this is one of those annoying new year resolution posts. But that's not to lack of knowing how, but just a lack of discipline and consistency over time. In the last couple of weeks, it's been much better.
Currently, as of today, down 2% bodyfat and the ab outline is beginning to show again.
The grind is real.
How am I doing it?
Counting calories and eating very clean (lean meats, vegetables, fruits and beans) all while being in a 650 calorie deficit.
I also do heavy weightlifting to keep my muscle mass and do various high intensity cardio for heart health.
I'm not a huge protein dude but I do want to get at least 100 grams per day.
The real secret.. Consistency!
Anybody can do what I'm doing (physically capable, you control what goes in your body)
Very few can actually mentally do it (not mentally capable to overcome short-term food urges. Most people just can't stick with a slight caloric deficit. Heck, most people can't even stop eating when they've had enough calories, let alone to lose weight.)
The hardest part is learning how to cut properly and getting into the groove/feeling. Once you can eyeball calories and you know your body, it gets to the point you don't even think of it.
Blood pressure has dropped, my glucose levels have returned to normal, and I have more energy now.
It's going to be a great summer.
