In the last 50 years, for things like melanoma, lymphoma, breast, prostate, testicular, cervical, and thyroid cancers, we’ve gone from high death rates to extremely high survival rates (most of these now have 99% survival rates in stage 0 and stage 1!!!).
As life expectancies continue to increase, cancers will continue to rise as most people get cancer at older age. Modern medicine will continue to improve life expectancies of all ages. Humans have made tremendous leaps in just a few decades and it’s looking very promising. The most important part is early detection!
Very promising and every day things continue to improve (better therapies, better drugs, curing instead of just applying short term patches. etc…)
It’s amazing how far the medical field has come in short a short time period towards curing people of cancer!
