Hi steemian's vapers, first of all i'm sorry if i didn't published anything yesterday but i'm blocked in a hospital.Alright after saying that we can start with today's chapter.
What you need to know to vape safely? and Why?
WHY?===> we often see image of vapes that explode and damage people and thing, and actually if you are going to quit smoking cigarette for vape maybe you don't want to die with your cigarette explosionNow second question!
What you need to know to vape safely?===>
- Knowing our batteries:
So we'll need to know what those units of measures means!
VOLT (symbol: V ) is the unit measure for electric potential
WATT (symbol: W) is a unit of <>power
AMPERE (symbol: A) is the base unit of electric current
MILLIAMPERE (symbol: mA) Battery autonomy
- Ohm's Law
Ohm's law states that the electrical current (I) flowing in an circuit is proportional to the voltage (V) and inversely proportional to the resistance (R). Therefore, if the voltage is increased, the current will increase provided the resistance of the circuit does not change.KNOWING THIS STATEMENT WE CAN USE SOME VERY IMPORTANT FORMULAS
- MOOCH TEST
I know that's an old table but if you search online you can find every battery tested by mooch!
- USE ALL THIS INFO
Now that you know all this formulas and information i'l show how to use them:
Alright this image is an example:
So lets say that we have a classic SONY VTC 5 battery so we take our mooch test and we do all the math.
Ok know we know that the CDR is 20A and we must not go over it.
So All we need to do to get the A is this formula and check if with our resistance the amperes go over the maximum level!
FOR THE LAZY PERSON:
How to calculate our resistance.
There are 2 way to calculate our resistance:
- Use an Electronic Box
- Use a website to calculate your own made resistance. http://www.steam-engine.org/wirewiz.html#
- LAST TIP
Always use prefect wrapped and conditions batteries!
Thanks flr sharing.
Why is unwrapped batteries so bad??

They easily cause short circuit interruption

Shorted batteries can cause a thermal runaway, this is especially bad in mech mods or a sealed unit where the venting gasses can't escape. This has been the error in almost every horror story you hear abot vapourisers exploding - but good safety education prevents these problems :)

That's , it seems that you know a lot, i would like to keep contact with you, you may help me if you want on the creation of the steem vape box!

I know a few things but not much about currently entry level vaping. I only use drippers these days and only use DNA200/DNA250 devices so I'm a little out of touch with the rest of the market.
I'm happy to comment where I can add something useful :)
